    PAWES 2023

    • Gender equality and women’s economic empowerment are central to the realisation of any country’s development plans, AU’s Agenda 2063 and the UN’s Agenda 2030 on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Led by Africa for Africa Women’s Conference NPC, Women of Africa Arise (WAA) Forum was birthed in response to COVID 19 to help women cope with the challenges brought about by COVID 19.. Over 100 women, gender activists, entrepreneurs, businesswomen’s associations and NGOs across the African Continent and the diaspora came together and initiated various interventions to support one another and ensure that their businesses are sustained during this dire period. Women of Africa Arise Forum envisioned an African Continent whose women are healthy, economically empowered and ready to deal with socio- economic challenges that may affect/affected their families and communities as a result of COVID 19.
