Description
The African Union (AU) leaders declared 2020-2030 as the decade of Financial and Economic Inclusion of African Women. The UN Women in partnership with the UNCSW NGO Action Coalition (Beijing+25 and Generation Equality), also presented concrete roadmap towards the acceleration of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls towards realization of SDG 5.
The Annual Pan African Transformational Leadership Summit is one of our flagship programs towards realization of SDG 5 and women’s inclusion in strategic decision-making positions. The Theme for the 5th Annual Pan African Transformational Leadership Summit is:
A Collective Leadership Voice Towards an Inclusive, equitable and self-sustainable Africa. Africa is the future; therefore, unity of purpose towards global excellence and sustainable growth is non-negotiable.
The Summit will be hosted in Cairo, Egypt as a hybrid event from 15-17 November 2023, followed by a day’s tour of heritage sites in Cairo. The summit will bring government and private sector women leaders, transformative top employer companies, men and women at the helm of progressive organizations from across Africa and the diaspora to come and share their best practices and winning formulae. The case study approach of our Summits guarantees the participants concrete take home lessons that can be replicated at a personal and organization level.
On the evening of Friday the 17th November, we will honour 60 Transformational Leaders from across Africa who have made significant strides in terms of women’s socio-economic inclusion and development of the girl child. It is through unity of purpose that we can build the Africa we want and such change agents must be celebrated.
